Hyderabad, May 21: (Siasat News) Cyclone Laila collided with the coasts of the A.P. region, submerging many parts of it the cyclone disrupted power supply and hampered the traffic. Three people killed in its spree. Prakasham district bore the brunt of the undaunted rainfall in 12 hours 34 centimeter rainfall was recorded.
Ongol town of prakasham district was the worst effected area the ap region the government instructed national disaster response force team to reach ongol immediately and to take up the relief works swiftly.
The government sources disclosed that the airforce, helicopters could not perform their relief works as the weather was unclement, and the helicopter were unable to be airborne. Arm forces were also kept alert they were ordered to work along with civil administration.
