Cyberabad CP launches SCSC Newsletter

After revamping the Cyberabad Security Council, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand met with some 40 CEOs of IT companies which have over two lakh employees.

During the meeting, the CP explained about the role of Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and acts as a bridge between Police, Government and the IT companies. He said the SCSC is unique in the country and the steps taken by it and Cyberabad Police are on Women Safety, Traffic Management and Surveillance, CCTVs over the last five years.
Recognising the need for upgrading the services by SCSC and its four sub-committees keeping in view the present needs, Anand asked the top officials to involve more in devising new strategies and technologies for the safety and security of the ever expanding IT Corridor. He explained about the imperative need of IT companies to take more measures for safety of every woman employee and allocate more resources for it besides recognizing the need for sprucing up the security measures of their own campuses in view of the scenario of terrorism, and ‘lone wolf’ situations. He appealed to the IT companies to become members of the SCSC to benefit from its activities.

SCSC Secretary Bharani spoke about the SCSC’s new mission statement and its plans in the next one year and how it plans. The CEOs and SCSC also launched its bimonthly newsletter ‘Cyber Shield’. From now on, an e-copy of this newsletter will reach each of the 2.5 lakh employees to keep them briefed about the society’s activities and also about the security and safety measures that have been taken up for them.
