In the ongoing drive against property offenders, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner has ordered detention of four notorious burglars under Preventive Detection Act.
In a pressnote here on Thursday, the Cyberabad police stated that though the four offenders were arrested previously, they were repeatedly and habitually indulging in stealing and robbing from people’s homes. Their criminal acts have been prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and unless they have kept out of the society for a considerable period by detaining them in the prison under the PD Act and prevent them to commit such offences, public order and confidence of public in the law cannot be restored. Hence, Preventive Detention orders were invoked against the offenders by Commissioner of Police C.V. Anand, the pressnote added.
