Cyber strikes: Indian hackers attack Pakistani Government websites, refuse to unlock

New Delhi: In a massive cyber attack on Pakistan. Indian hackers have locked Pakistani governmental websites and also claim to have locked their computers and data using ‘Ransomeware’.

A cyber attack has started between hackers from Pakistan and India almost 10 days after the Uri attack that claimed the lives of 19 jawans.

Pakistani hackers have attacked various Indian websites few days ago and circulated the videos that say India’s recent surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) was fake.

In reaction Indian hackers have also locked Pakistan government computers. A black hat hacker said. “To unlock their data, techies from Pakistan also paid in Bitcoins but ‘patriotic’ Indians refused to give away the decrypt key to unlock the data. Pakistani officials have been asked to pay the amount again to unlock.”

According to the reports, a group of Pakistani hackers “the Pakistan Haxors Crew” has claimed that it had defaced 7,051 Indian websites after India launched surgical strike in PoK.

The list of targeted Indian websites include the official website of the National Green Tribunal (www.greentribunal.gov.in) and Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation (www.biharonline.gov.in.)

Kislay Chaudhary, a cyber crime expert said. “Indian hackers just responded after smelling the malicious intention of Pakistani hackers. Techies across the border targeted Indian sites. They are also trying to circulate fake links and videos claiming that India never carried out surgical strike.”

Online agencies have warned the hackers that there should be no instances of data loss while partaking in this online ‘war’ with the neighbour.

One if the hacker said.” Indian hackers are technically sound and can easily spy or steal data from any country. But no one ever tried to bring young talents under one umbrella for information gathering.”
