Cyber police station to be set up in Bihar

Bihar government today approved the proposal to set up the first-ever cyber police station in the state with jurisdiction of the entire state and also sanctioned creation of six posts at the cyber police station to come up in the state capital, an official said.

The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Principal
Secretary (Cabinet Coordination and Secretariat) Ravikant told reporters.

The first-ever cyber police station will be set up at Patna and will have jurisdiction over the entire state, he
said.

A cyber crime investigation unit has been working at Kotwali police station in Patna since last year, Ravikant
said.
