The cyber crime sleuths of Central Crime Station have arrested two teenagers Thakur Vishal Singh and Gangaram Singh who were allegedly involved in posting content offensive to the minority community on a social networking site in March, a few days before the Sri Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanthi festivals.
On finding the content on the net, the Cyber Crime Cell managed to get the ‘offensive’ content deleted from before it could lead to any further problem. Subsequently the Hussaini Alam police registered a case under Sections 295 (deliberate acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 153-A (promoting enmity between groups on religious grounds) of the IT Act, but the culprits remained at large.
On March 30 the activists of Darsgah-E-Jihad-O-Shahadat (DJS) staged a protest infront of Charminar police station against the blasphemous posting content o face book social networking website.
The case was transferred to Cyber Crime Cell which traced the culprits based on the IP log and end-user details.
The Cyber crime sleuths reportedly identified the two youngster One Thakur Vishal Singh is a resident of Puranapul and works at an internet cafe in Shivrampally near National Police Academy. The other accused Gangaram Singh a resident of Ramanthapur, works as a DTP operator at another internet cafe.
