New Delhi, January 15: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said various projects being implemented in East Delhi as part of preparations for the ensuing Commonwealth games will ensure infrastructural development of the area.
“In the run up to the Commonwealth Games, the capital especially East Delhi will witness tremendous infrastructural development,” she said after laying the foundation stone of a community centre at Ghonda Chowk in north Shahdara.
The Chief Minister said construction of the Games villages in the Trans Yamuna area will not only catalyse all round development of the area but would also ensure civic services and civic infrastructure on par with most developed localities of the city.
Dikshit also appealed to the citizens to contribute substantially for making the prestigious event a grand success.
