Kerala: A passenger of Air India Express flight has lost his three sovereign gold chain on May 19 during a x-ray check at Calicut International Airport.
The passenger from Dubai, suspected Abdul Kareem, a customs employee in the rank of havildar and lodged a complaint. He said the chain which he kept in a tray has been stolen by Abdul Kareem.
Police arrested Kareem on Friday after the verification of CCTV footage at the airport which shows Kareem taking the chain. The police said, the chain had been recovered from him.
Kareem was arrested under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code and produced before the Manjeri Judicial First Class Magistrate court, which remanded him to two weeks judicial custody.
