Two suspected dacoits were thrashed by customers and staff while attempting to loot a nationalised bank here today, police said.
Nine armed dacoits, who came in three motorbikes,terrorised the employees and customers of Bank of India’s
Boula branch under Soso police station and attempted to loot the available cash in the bank.
However, customers present in the bank and the staff overpowered two of the dacoits and thrashed them while the
rest managed to flee, Superintendent of Police, Keonjhar, Aniruddha Singh said.
The injured dacoits were admitted to the local hospital, he said.
Two employees of the bank were also injured.
