Hyderabad, August 04: To enhance employability of diploma holders and improve their communication skills, the State Board of Technical Education and Training revised the curriculum of all diploma courses and came out with a book titled `Enhancing English and Employability Skills’.
The book is aimed at functional English and situational grammar apart from strategies for reading, mechanism of writing reports and official and business correspondence.
Technical Education Minister MV Ramana Rao released the book at the State Secretariat here today. He said that English subject which was earlier confined to first year students of threeyear diploma course, has been re-worked and redesigned to improve communication skills among students.
The book has been revised based on the feedback provided by various industries and institutions of higher learning keeping in view of prominence given to communication skills and English language.
