Curfew has been lifted from Arsh Mahal area of Kishan Bagh after the situation came to normalcy. Commissioner Cyberabad Mr. C V Anand in a meeting held with high officials decided to lift the curfew. It must be recalled that violence erupted in Kishan Bagh after alleged burning of religious flag. 3 Muslims died in BSF firing during the incident while 12 others sustained injuries.
Heavy damages were caused to Muslim houses and property in attack by Sikh rioters. Rajendranagar police imposed indefinite curfew for 3 days in the area later the curfew was relaxed for short intervals.
Inspector Rajendra Nagar Mr. C H Koshalkar told that situation is peaceful in Kishan Bagh Chawni and Arsh Mahal area but police will still maintain vigilance.
