Curfew in Assam’s Dhubri District continues

Dhubri: Curfew continues to remain in place in the Agomoni police station area of Assam’s Dhubri District in the wake of an objectionable item being found near a place of worship.

Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Nazrul Islam said that situation is under control, but curfew will remain as a precautionary measure.
He said security forces have been deployed along the national highway to ensure the free movement of vehicles.
Several persons have been detained so far and additional security forces are also deployed at Agomoni and nearby areas. The district administration will hold a peace meeting today. (ANI)
