Anjuman-e-Shura-e-Hyderabad (Deccan) held a Cultural, literary and traditional mushaira at Mahboob Husain Jigar Hall. The mushaira was presided over by Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat. Mr. S A Shukoor Panchsheel B.Ed College Nirmal, S K Afzaluddin and hero of the film ‘Eik Tha Sardar’ Mr. Mohammed Taufeeq attended as chief guests.
Poets of Hyderabad Deccan attired in traditional Hyderabad Sherwani enthralled the audience with their poetry recited in their unique style. The purpose behind organizing the unique mushaira was to acknowledge young generation with the traditional manner of poetry recitation.
Dr. Farooq Shakeel, Mohammed Moinuddin Ashar, Jagjivanlal Asthana, Shahed Adili, Waheed Pasha Quadri, Rasheeduddin Rasheed, Chacha Palmuri, Yousuf Ravish, Zafar Farooqui, Kamil Hyderabadi, Atyab Aijaz, Shaukat Ali Dard, Yousufuddin Yousuf, Masood Javeed Hashmi, Qamer Raza, Ibrahim Khan Ayaz, Saber Achalpuri and others mesmerized the audience with their poetry.
