Cultural Centre Opens in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, October 22: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, opened the Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi 
on Wednesday.

Shaikh Mohammed, who was accompanied by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, unveiled the commemorative plaque of the Centre.

They toured various wings and hallways of the Centre, including the Al-Burda Hall, which tells the history of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through poetry, art and calligraphy.

He then visited the museum hall, which showcases artifacts collected from national museums allowing visitors to capture a glimpse of the national heritage and archaeological sites that enrich the country. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development briefed Shaikh Mohammed. —
