Hyderabad: Chief Executive Officer of Telangana Wakf Board, Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim assured the sub-committee of Wakf Board that the culprits who issued fake NOC will be exposed and punished.
A meeting of the sub-committee of Wakf Board was held under the Chairmanship of Mohammed Saleem. It was attended by Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin, Mr. Anwar Baig, Mr. MA Waheed, Ms. Sufia Begum and Mr. ZH Javeed.
Enhancement of salaries and promotions of Wakf Board employees was included on the agenda. Since the issue pertaining to release of fake NOC is under investigation, it was not included. This matter will be decided in the next meeting.
Members of TS Wakf Board opined that such activities have tarnished the image of Wakf Board and the routine work has also been affected. They demanded the CEO to investigate the matter and expose the culprits.
Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim apprised the proceedings of the investigations and said that an FIR has been lodged with the police. In addition to it, a letter was sent to Collector, Ranga Reddy District requesting him not to take any action on the fake NOC.
Chairman of TS Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem clarified that enhancement of salaries and promotions of Wakf Board employees will be decided after reviewing their performance since it has come to be known that many employees are getting salaries without working.
Mr. Saleem further informed that entire biodata of the employees and performance reports are being gathered. The meeting of the Wakf Board is scheduled to be held on 3rd January in which many important matters would be discussed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Saleem apprised the functioning of Wakf Board to Mr. A.K. Khan, Advisor to Government on Minority Affairs. He also informed him about the action taken on the issue of fake NOC. He said that those found guilty will be punished. He informed that wherever such conspiracy is hatched, Wakf Board has the powers to approach Registration Officials for cancellation of registrations. Recently, many registrations have been cancelled on the representations made by Wakf Board.
