Dr. Mohammed Abdur Rauf along with his friends established Technical Institute which provides vocational training to deserving children of the community. Dr. Abdur Rauf established Community Institute of Technology (CIT) in July 2011 partnering with his NRI friends.
The institute is located at Basti Nabi Kareem Colony, Mir Aalam Tank. The institute offers auto mobile technology training.
Taking a step further the institute has decided to impart vocational training to backward women of the community and help them stand on their own feet. As part of this endeavour Tailoring Academy for Women has been set up. Girls and women will be provided professional training and trained women will be provided employment opportunities.
