CSE index shed 149 points

Kolkata, October 23: The Calcutta Stock Exchange today lost ground sharply due to offloading by investors with the benchmark index CSE-40 going down by 149.59 points during the day.

The index opened at 7884.69 and during the day, it shed value and closed at 7735.10.

In the previous trading session, the market was down by 18.86 points.

The business volume was Rs 5.23 crore from trading of 21 scrips during the day.

Blueprint Securities was at Rs 303.75, Bolton Properties at Rs 390.60 and Concreate Credit at Rs 243.75.

Larsen & Toubro was lower at Rs 1598. OMDC lost further to Rs 24,200 during the day.ONGC was Rs 1180.

Reliance Industries closed at Rs 2125.95. State Bank of India was Rs 2403.

Twenty First Century was at Rs 290.15 and Vindus Holding at Rs 293 at the end of the session.
