CS reviews “Ek Bharath-Shresht Bharat” program

Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed officials concerned to make coordinated efforts to conduct “Ek Bharat-Shresht Bharath” program with Haryana Government reflecting unity in diversity of the nation.

 

Holding a high-level review meeting with the officials concerned at the Secretariat here on Monday, the Chief Secretary said the programs should reflect the ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the rich culture and traditions of the nation noted for unity in diversity. He also instructed that all the departments should play a key role with mutual cooperation for conducting the program in a successful manner. He said the mega event should be conducted in a grand manner with a focus on Telangana cultural programs at Haryana with road show, food festival, meetings and others. He also asked the officials to participate themeselves and involve people’s representatives in the event that reflect Telangana culture and traditions.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for inviting the guests and artistes from Haryana by giving wide publicity with welcome arches, sign boards and hoardings at main roads, airports, railway stations and hotels. The officials were also asked to prepare a plan of action to provide them all incentives and subsidies for 15 days as part of the program.

The Chief Secretary said a joint action plan of Telangana and Haryana States be prepared and discussed on tableaux, presentation of cultural programs, meetings of poets and writers, educational tours for students, essay writing competitions,  home stay for tourists, photography competitions and food festivals. Besides, a team of Telangana youth should be sent to Haryana for training in wrestling and steps needed for coordinating on traditional methods with Haryana and agreement with agriculture university in Hissar and study on highway tourism be taken.

The meeting also discussed rural tourism, sports, tribal festivals, shopping festivals, pearl festival and Bathukamma festival and conduct of Sammakka-Sarakka festival at national level. The CS  also instructed them to select Necklace Road, Gachibowli and Abids for street food stalls and encourage tourists and IT employees, he added. (NSS)
