Telangana Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi on Wednesday reviewed arrangements for the conduct of Telangana Formation Day celebrations to be held on 2nd June at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.
The review meeting, held at State Secretariat, was attended by Special Chief Secretaries Ajay Mishra, Sunil Mishra, Jayesh Ranjan, Rajiv Trivedi, DGP Mahender Reddy, HMDA Commissioner Chinranjyulu, Hyderabad Collector Yogitha Rana, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and other senior officials.
The Chief Secretary informed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will first pay homage to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park and then he will host national flag at Parade Grounds. Awards will also be presented to various personalities for their achievements. He directed the heads of various departments to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event.
Historic and important monuments like Charminar, Assembly building, Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, High Court and structures would be specially illuminated for the occasion. Cultural programmes will also be organised at Ravindra Bharathi and People’s Plaza. (INN)
