Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty today stressed the need to bring about awareness among the people about the safety of forests and fauna.
Keeping in view the dwindling number of wild animals in the forests, Mohanty today released two stags, three deers, eight spotted deers in the Anantagiri forest area in Ranga Reddy district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary said animals will live freely in the forests than in the zoo enclosures. He also called upon the Forest rangers to protect the animal kingdom from the menacing greedy hunters. (NSS)
