Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma held Special Task Force (STF) meeting on the progress of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project on Tuesday.
At the outset, the Chief Secretary appreciated the coordination and efforts of all the departments for conducting the massive Ganesh Nimajjanam event smoothly. Later, HMR chief NVS Reddy made a detailed presentation on Action Taken Report (ATR) on the decisions of previous STF meeting. Some decisions were taken during the meeting:
The CS desired that in the next STF meeting, the properties which are held up in court litigations may be listed separately to have a focused review. While reviewing the status of Metro pillars & viaduct works, CS advised L&TMRHL to adhere to the targeted dates of completion without allowing any time lags. He further desired that in future review meetings, detailed information on targeted dates of completion vis-à-vis targets adhered to shall be furnished.
CS advised L&TMRHL to handover the road stretches where the Metro Rail construction activity is completed to GHMC duly ensuring that the stretches are debris free and carriageway restored for smooth flow of traffic. He instructed C&SO, GHMC; Additional CP (Traffic) and MD HMR to conduct joint inspections before taking over such road stretches from L&TMRHL.
CS agreed to the suggestion of C&SO, GHMC for providing LED lights along the Metro Rail corridors in the stretches where street lights are being relocated to facilitate the Metro Rail works.
