CS calls on CJI; HC for Telangana soon

Supreme Court Chief Justice H L Dathu is reportedly accepted a proposal made by Telangana Government to set up a separate High Court for the State.
Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma today called on Justice Dathu and pleaded with him to set up a separate high court for Telangana State. It is learnt that the Chief Justice was not averse to set up another high court for the State.
It is pertinent to note that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had a meeting with CJ at Delhi during his recent tour. The CM is planning to set up new high court in the heart of Hyderabad. He has already visited two places for the purpose, including Parada Palace in King Kothi and R&B Bhavan at Erra Manzil. If the CJI gives a green signal, the State government would expedite the process. The present High Court premises near the City College will be used temporarily for AP Government, according to sources. (NSS)
