The Government of Telangana held an interactive meeting with World Bank officials on Wednesday. Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma presented broad outline of the government’s priorities and flagship programs that are being undertaken for achieving accelerated growth and development in the State.
The Special Secretary (Finance), Principal Secretary (Planning) explained about the overall scenario of the State and the financial strengths and challenges that the new State was facing. The Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of various departments have explained about the flagship programs taken up by their department and perceived advantages to be derived from these projects along with the financial implications of the projects.
The World Bank officials evinced a lot of interest in the programs and assured to consider to be partnering in some of the projects. Special C.S (Finance), Prl.Secy (Plg), Prl. Secy (I&CAD), Prl. Secy (PR&RD), Prl. Secy (EFS&T), Spl. Secy (Fin-IF), Secy (I&C, Energy), Commissioner (Industries), M.D., Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corp., PCCF were also present in the meeting. (NSS)
