Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty called on TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu at latter’s residence at Jubilee Hills here on Thursday.
During his meeting with the Chief Minister-in-waiting of Andhra Pradesh, Dr Mohanty gave a powerpoint presentation on the ongoing process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He also submitted a report compiled by the Committee of 22 IAS officers. He gave the details of distribution of assets, liabilities and employees between Telangana and residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. The allocation of IAS and IPS officers and government buildings including the State Secretariat also figured in the meeting which was attended by many senior IAS officers.
The appointment of new Chief Secretary for Andhra Pradesh was also discussed in the meeting. It may be mentioned that Dr Mohanty will be laying down office on June 1, a day before the Appointed Day when the Telangana State will come into existence. (INN)
