Crowds greet TD chief in Anantapur villages

Anantapur, September 27: Telugu Desam Chief N Chandrababu Naidu commenced his three-day visit to Anantapur district today from the Kodikonda checkpost.

Huge crowds greeted him at every village on the way so much so that it took his convoy about five hours to cover a 30-km distance.

All along the route, at the request of people in different villages, Naidu conducted road shows.

At Chilamatthur he unveiled a statue of NTR and addressed public meetings in Lepakshi, Hindupur, Somandapalle, Penukonda and Dharmavaram mandals of the district.

Wherever he spoke he criticised the government and Rosaiah’s rule.

“The Rosaiah government had neither self control nor direction.

Delhi runs his government remotely,” he ridiculed.

Babu also criticised Rosaiah’s silence on Emaar Properties and APIIC land deals.

He held the Congress government responsible for the state losing the Volkswagen car project.

He criticised the government for failure on various fronts – creating more jobs in IT sector, improving the weavers’ lot, and supply of fertilisers to farmers.

Hindupur MP Nimmala Kishtappa, former MP K Srinivasulu, TDP district leaders BK Parthasarathi and V Suri, MLAs Paritala Sunita, Payyavula Kesav, Abdul Ghani, Palle Raghunath Reddy and Kandikutam Prasad accompanied their party chief on the tour.
