Srinagar: The cross Line of Control (LoC) trade and travel remained suspended for the 112th consecutive day on Monday between Jammu’s Chakan Da Bagh and Rawalakot in Pakistan.
The service was suspended on July 10 following heightened tensions between the Indian and Pakistan armies on the LoC.
However, the service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad remained operational and carried 19 passengers back home to Pakistan on Monday.
Three locals also boarded the bus to meet their relatives in Muzaffarabad — the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The bus service was started in April 2005 as a major confidence-building measure between India and Pakistan to facilitate travel by members of divided families living across the de facto border in Jammu and Kashmir.
