New Delhi: Against the backdrop of cross-LoC surgical strike, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhawan here.
“Met Rashtrapati Ji. @RashtrapatiBhvn,” Modi tweeted.
Though it was not known what transpired, the meeting came against the backdrop of surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army against terror launch pads across the Line of Control two days back.
The action, as a retaliation to the Uri terror attack, has heightened tensions between India and Pakistan with fears of military confrontation.
