Crisis in Iraq will partially affect global production of oil, says D Raja

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja on Friday said the crisis in Iraq will partially affect the global production of oil, thereby escalating its prices.

He said, “One should not try to blame it on external factors and global factors for everything that happens in India. At domestic level, at India level, whether our government has taken up enough steps, adequate steps to maintain the stability of fuel prices that’s what we should see.”

Raja said, “The situation has to be seen from proper perspective.”

Market expert Akash Jindal, said “My organization’s research tells that due to Iraq, inflation may occur. Prices of crude oil may increase which will impact the price of diesel here.”

He said, “It will ultimately impact the economy of country in negative way. Due to lesser monsoon it may also impact food products.” (ANI)
