A notorious criminal Qureshi, who had escaped from Erragadda Mental Hospital was arrested at Ajmir Dargah.
Qureshi escaped from Erragadda hospital 20 days ago and fled to Mumbai along with his wife. However, he was taken into custody by the West Zone Task Force police. The police are inquiring about the role of Qureshi’s wife as it was stated that he escaped when the hospital authorities did not give permission to meet his wife.
It may be mentioned here that 11 undertrial prisoners escaped from the mental hospital on December 2. After the incident, the police set up special teams for searches and kept a watch at bus and railway stations. (NSS)
