Criminal case registered against Naidu

Hyderabad, March 07: The Gandhinagar police have registered a criminal case against Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders of the party in connection with the ‘attack’ on lawyers at Indira Park on Saturday.

Buchi Reddy, one of the 11 advocates injured in the attack and admitted in Sai Vani hospital, lodged a complaint with the Chikkadpally police alleging that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu had instigated his party leaders – Teegala Krishna Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and M.L. Srinivas – to attack them.

Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 324 (assault), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon) and 149 (unlawful assembly) of Indian Penal Code were invoked.
