Crime on women: Cyberabad cops form special action plan

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dwaraka Thirumala Rao has stated that his department has come up with a special action plan to check crime against women like sexual assaults and so on.

Speaking to the media here, the Commissioner said the Police department has taken the suggestions made by software, BPO employees, company representatives and cab organizers into account for providing security to women employees. He said that the action plan would be revised again, while establishing ‘special help desk’ in the four women police station under Cyberabad jurisdiction.

He informed that cases of rape incidents had reduced in 2012, while comparing to the last year. In this year, about 24,652 cases were registered under Cyberabad zone, including chain snatching, cyber crimes, murders, he added.
