Another fake certificate racket unearthed
(Siasat News): Commissioner Task Force in his crackdown against fake certificate rackets, unearthed another racket.
Task force police is taking these actions against such rackets all over the city on the instructions of City Police Commissioner Mr. Mahinder Reddy. The west zone Task force had arrested four persons in this connection who were involved in making fake certificates of reputed universities.
Police seized 128 fake certificates, a laptop, computer system, fake rubber stamps of various universities and five cellphones.
All the arrested persons were involved in making fake certificates and used to charge Rs. 10,000 for SSC certificates, Rs. 15000 for intermediate, Rs. 20,000 for degree and Rs. 25,000 for engineering degree from their ‘clients’.
Further investigations are on.
Nigerian citizen held for smuggling
(Siasat News): Police has arrested a Nigerian citizen who had migrated to the city for the sole purpose of education but was found involved in narcotics smuggling.
In a crackdown by the special team of west zone DCP, it arrested one Henry Al-Ghani, 29 from Banjara Hills. The accused had come to Hyderabad in 2104 on a student visa and had taken admission for diploma in an institute situated at Syed Nagar.
Police sources said that Henry had come to Mumbai in 2013 on a business visa and from there, he had gone to Goa. However, he again came to Hyderabad and after befriending with African nationals, he started the smuggling of narcotics.
Police on a tip-off, came into action and arrested him. Police also seized 76 narcotics pills from his possession each contained 1 gram of narcotic.
Apart from this, a laptop, a cellphone and a motorbike were also seized.
