Attention diverted, ornaments looted
(Siasat News): The attention diversion gang is once again in action in the city where the gang members diverted the attention of an old lady looted her gold ornaments.
According to the police, Kamalamma, 60, native of Ghatkesar who owns a house at Uppal, had to come to collect the monthly rent from her tenants. When she was passing from the area, some unidentified people came to her and said that her purse had dropped on the ground.
She immediately picked it up when they told her that the purse contained costly gold ornaments and asked to keep the purse safely.
They also asked her that she should keep her gold chain and rings in the purse. When Kamlamma was busy doing so, the conmen snatched the purse and ran away. Uppal police has registered a case.
Daughter commits suicide over mother’s reprimand
(Siasat News): A girl who was very upset as she was reprimanded by her mother. Kulsumpura police said that Bhandari Priyanka, 19, who suddenly went missing and after the return, she had heated argument with her mother.
She was reprimanded by her mother. However, her dead body was found from near a temple. The dead body was handed over to her parents after post mortem.
4-member inter-state gang nabbed
(Siasat News): Uppal police has arrested a four-member inter-state gang involved in the theft of laptops and cash from hostels and houses.
Detective inspector Mr. Venkat Reddy said that Gurumurthy, Kalyanappa, Ganesh and Veermadra hailed from Tamil Nadu and used to commit crimes in Uppal, Medipally, Ramanthapur and other areas where they used to steal laptops from boys hostels.
Not only this, whenever they found the doors of any house opened, they used to go inside and stole money and laptops. Uppal police has seized 13 stolen laptops and Rs. 2 lakh in cash.
Teenager dies in road accident
(Siasat News): An RTC bus killed a 19-year-old girl Sneha. This accident occurred at Lalaguda circle yesterday when Sneha was passing from the area on motorbike rode by her friend Abhishek.
A speeding RTC bus coming from opposite direction, severely hit the bike killing Sneha on the spot. Police Lalaguda has registered a case.
