Construction worker stabbed to death
(Siasat News): A 20-year-old construction worker Somnath Verma stabbed to death by his colleague at L B Nagar. While unloading tiles at Sai Nagar colony, Verma entered into an argument with Rampal following which Rampal stabbed him in the stomach.
Another worker Nanu tried to intervene, but Rampal stabbed him too. In the meantime, Rampal fled the scene.
Verma succumbed to his injuries during the treatment while Nanu is said to be out of danger.
A case has been registered and a manhunt launched to trace Rampal.
Flats burgled at Miyapur
(Siasat News) Burglars gained entry into three flats at Jayasudha Mythri Apartment at Miyapur and escaped with a tola gold and five tolas silver on Tuesday night.
Police said that the burglars broke the main door locks to gain entry and then forcibly opened the iron safes.
Following the complaint lodged by a flat owner Rammohan Reddy, a case has been booked and police is on the look out for the burglars.
Techie ‘gang-raped’ in hotel
(Siasat News): A software engineer was allegedly gang-raped by four men, including a techie whom she met through a matrimonial site, at a hotel in Shamshabad.
According to RGI Airport police, the 27-year-old victim, a divorcee from Kukatpally, works in a software company in Madhapur.
Recently she came in contact with Srikant Reddy, a software engineer from Kukataplly through a matrimonial site. The victim and Srikant Reddy wanted to marry and shared their cellphone numbers.
On August 2, Srikant and the victim checked into Hotel Vijaya Residency at Shamshabad at 3.30 pm and checked out at 7.30 pm on the same day.
On Tuesday, the victim approached the RGI airport police and alleged that she was gang-raped by Srikant and three of his friends at the hotel on August 2.
She said that she had to Shamshabad with Srikant to discuss their marriage plan, but the techie and his friends gang-raped her after snatching her cellphone.
Police registered a case and Srikant was arrested. In the meantime, the victim has been sent for medical examination.
