Illicit liquor sale, one held

Hyderabad, August 7 (Siasat News): Police Chhatrinaka has arrested a man selling illicit liquor and seized 500 packets and his scooter which had no number plate.

According to police, L Suraj Singh, 23, is the resident of Jumerat Bazar. According to ASI Khaja Moinuddin, he was arrested near Kandikal gate and was said to be involved in shifting the illicit liquor from Dhoolpet.

Another culprit from Dhoolpet Sonu Singh was also involved who was using his scooter without number plate for the shifting of the liquor. Accused Suraj Singh is now in judicial custody.

Student robbers arrested

Hyderabad, August 7 (Siasat News): Commissioner Task Force of north zone team has arrested two college students who were allegedly involved in stealing the motorbikes and seized four vehicles from their possession.

Police said that S Abhishek, 20, student of inter II year and Raju, 22, B.Com II year student residents of Kavadiguda and Parsigutta respectively.

Police said that the duo were enthusiastic to lead a luxurious life and to meet their expenses, used to steal vehicles as they were spoiled in the company of wealthy friends and always targeted expensive vehicles.

They also developed the bad habit of spending nights with their girl friends at bars and restaurants and committed the crime in Narayanguda, Panjagutta and Malakpet police station limits.

Failed producer sold brown sugar, held

Hyderabad, August 7 (Siasat News): Heavy deficit in the filmmaking led a producer to become a criminal. He sold fake brown sugar.

Task Force west zone has arrested film producer Hemant and his other five associates in connection with the sale of duplicate brown sugar and seized brown sugar and five cell phones from their possession.

According to police, Hemant had recently produced a Telugu film Yuvatha which collapsed at the box office and he was in a financial crunch. In the meantime, he contacted one of his friends Siddhu of Vizag who was a chemist.

Hemant told him about his difficulties and asked him to provide some duplicate tablets. This is how Siddhu supplied him some chemical and Hemant started selling it in the name of brown sugar.

Siddhu is said to be absconding while other arrested persons are handed over to Panjagutta police.
