ATM Card thief caught on camera
Hyderabad, July 6 (Siasat News): A ‘charity’ thief who misused the ATM card of an assistant sub-inspector of police was caught on video camera making purchases with it at a petrol pump.
The man had used Rs. 57,611 from the card of the ASI Mr. J Kalki Murthy, who is posted in the DGP’s office, to purchase fuel, medicines, rice and other provisions. He told the shop owners that he is making the purchases for an orphanage that he is ostensibly running.
The CID sleuths who have printed out pictures from the video footage have launched a hunt for the man. Mr. Murthy had lodged a complaint with the police stating that he had lost his ATM card of Indian Overseas Bank, Saifabad branch, his driving license, police identity card and mobile phone near a hospital at Lakdikapul.
When he checked his account at IOB, he realized that the card had been used to make purchases worth Rs. 57, 611. CID cyber crime sleuths have registered a case under the IT Amendment Act and Cheating against the man.
CID sleuths asked the public for help in locating the man. Information can be passed on to the investigating officer on phone number 9440627316.
Security beefed up for MLAs
Hyderabad, July 6 (Siasat News): Police have beefed up security for those Telangana MLAs who had not submitted their resignations yet.
The additional force is deployed at the residences of Dy. CM Damodar Raj Narsimha, minister for marketing Mr. Mukesh Goud and union minister Mr. S Jaipal Reddy.
Apart from this, patrolling is enhanced around the residential areas of the ministers and MLA quarters.
DGP Mr. Dinesh Reddy has issued an order to all the concerned police officials to maintain law and order in Telangana region at any cost and the arrangement should be effective.
