Gambling den raided
(Siasat News): Rajendranagar police has raided a gambling den being illegally run at Chintalmet area and arrested eight persons.
In the meantime, inspector Kanakaya said that the police got a tip-off that a gambling den is being run near a place of worship. All arrested eight persons belong to Suleman Nagar and all are painters.
Police also seized Rs. 9000 in cash, nine mobile phones and other items.
Ruckus at maternity Hospital
(Siasat News): In a bizarre incident at sultan bazaar maternity Hospital, the relatives of a pregnant woman created scene in the hospital premises when they learnt that one Sumalatha who hails from Nalgonda, delivered a dead child.
She had come to the hospital yesterday afternoon but doctors took their own time in getting her admitted resulting her delivery taken place in the waiting room of the hospital itself. Not only this, but the infant also died after a few minutes of delivery.
The relatives of Sumalatha alleged that it was due to the negligence of the doctors that Sumalatha was not taken to labour room on time and they created ruckus in the hospital and staged a dharna.
Property dispute, house put on fire
(Siasat News): A man in Yakutpura torched his own house due to the prolonged dispute over property. Police said that Jamal Shareef, 75 had distributed his property equally among his three sons Riyaz Shareef, Osman Shareef and Taher Shareef.
However, Riyaz Shareef died some time ago and the youngest sons Taher Shareef started creating havoc in the house alleging that he did not get the equal share in the property of his father.
He brought petrol and with the help of it, set the house on fire in which the house badly damaged. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
