Passenger arrested at airport
(Siasat News): Customs officials at the RGI airport on Sunday arrested a passenger carrying 1 kg gold bar.
The officers of Customs air Intelligence Unit nabbed the passenger P Siraju of Kerala who had arrived from Dubai.
The suspect had concealed the gold inside his socks approximately valued at Rs. 29 lakh. Further investigations are on.
Clash over playing of music
(Siasat News): Mild tension prevailed at the Bonalu processions in Meerpet and Malkajgiri police limits here on Sunday when the devotees clashed with each other over playing of DJ music.
Finally, the cops had to lathicharge to bring the situation under control. Around 9.30 pm, the Bonalu organizers took out processions.
It all started when the organizers played DJ music. While a group of devotees wanted devotional songs, another group wanted Telangana songs.
A verbal duel broke out between the two groups and police had to intervene.
