Investigations of Ibrahimpatnam blast continue
(Siasat News): The high level investigations of Ibrahimpatnam blast are going on. Police Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Bhagwat said that on the spot evidences has been collected from the place of the blast and sent to forensic laboratory.
However, people should not be worried as it was proved in the preliminary investigations that it was a chemical blast. He further said that as two blasts had taken place that is why the investigations are conducted on high level to uncover the actual facts to prevent any such incidents.
He concluded that all the facts of the investigations would shortly be made public.
Inter-state thief arrested, 26 bikes seized
(Siasat News): The CCS police, L B Nagar has arrested a notorious inter-state thief who used to come to the city by RTC buses and stole the bikes.
Police Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Bhagwat said this in a media conference where the accused was also present.
He said that 28-year-old accused Satyanaryana was wanted by the police for quite some time whose native place is East Godavari. Police seized 26 stolen motorbikes from his possession valued at Rs. 13 lakh.
The bikes were stolen from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. An electrician by profession, he had earlier served the jail term twice.
Heroin smuggling gang busted
(Siasat News): The East Zone Team of Police Commissioner Task Force has unearthed a 8-member gang of heroin smugglers.
50-year-old woman Islawat Bujji, native of Khammam along with her other accomplices including RTC bus driver was involved in the smuggling of heroin on large scale.
In the meantime, additional deputy Commissioner Police Task Force Mr. N Koti Reddy said Bujji used to get big consignment of heroin from Vishakhapatnam, East Godavari and Malkangiri in Odisha and tranporting the consignment through RTC buses to Hyderabad and later it was sold with the help of the local agents of Mangalhat.
She used to get heroin at Rs. 1000 per kg and with the help of the RTC driver Appa Rao and other dealers Shankar Singh and Vikas Singh, run her ‘business.’
Three days ago 12 kg heroin was transported to Hyderabad by RTC bus. On a tip-off, Afzalgunj police and Task Force had arrested Bujji and her seven accomplices from Imliban station and seized Rs. 10000 in cash, 12 kg heroin and mobile phone from their possession.
