Wife sets husband ablaze

Hyderabad, August 3 (Siasat News): The demand to return the money given as dowry or to divorce, proved fatal for a husband where he was set ablaze by none other than his own wife.

This ghastly incident took place in the jurisdiction of Shankarpally police station. The wife killed her husband while he was fast asleep.

According to police sources, 25-year-old Raju was a labourer. He was married just 9 months back but he was disliked by his wife. Some days back, the husband wife shifted to another village and living there separately.

She was insisting upon him to either divorce her or return the sum of Rs. 1,00,000 taken as dowry. Raju was just ignoring her demands.

In the wee hours of August 1, when Raju was fast asleep, his wife poured kerosene on his body and set him ablaze.

He was immediately shifted to the hospital but died during the treatment. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Boy died in roof collapse

Hyderabad, August 3 (Siasat News): The heavy rains in the city and the outskirts bring happiness on the faces of many where a family became the victim of the same rains at Shivrampally.

A 13-year-old boy Sheikh Younus died when a part of the laid roof collapsed on Younus. The basthi is Shastripuram and comprised of slums and jhopadpatti.

He was sleeping with his parents in the house. It was raining heavily and the winds were blowing speedily that caused the laid out roof of the neighbour gave in and it collapsed on Younus killing him instantly.

Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Counterfeit currency: Two arrested

Hyderabad, August 3 (Siasat News): RGI police at Shamshabad arrested two persons for trying to cash in the counterfeit currency in the market.

At first, one person went to a shoe shop and bought a chappal worth Rs. 40 and handed over a fake 500-rupee note to the shopkeeper and took the balance amount of Rs. 460. He gave this amount to his associate.

His next target was a kirana shop. He bought different items billed at Rs. 40. He again handed over 500-rupee note. However, this time, the luck did not favour him. The kirana shop owner immediately recognized the fake note and asked him to leave the shop immediately.

Why their trick succeeded in the shoe shop? It was because at that time, there was no adult man present in the shop and a small boy was dealing with the culprit.

When the real owner came to the shop, he also recognized the fake note and realized that a group is behind it that is deceiving the people with the use of fake currency notes.

Both the shop owners then reported this incident to RGI police, Shamshabad. The action was immediately taken and both the culprits were traced and handed over to Pahadi Shareef CCS.
