Fake currency racket busted
(Siasat News): Uppal police has raided a house and busted the racket involved in fake currency circulation. However, police did not elaborate any details of the arrested persons.
Sources said that on a tip-off police came into action and raided a house situated in Malkajgiri. Police confiscated the currency notes in the denomination of Rs. 500 valued at Rs. 25,000.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
Wife ends life after row with husband
(Siasat News): A woman, who was harassed by her husband for more dowry, took the extreme step of ending her life. This incident occurred at Ibrahimpatnam in Cyberabad.
Police sources said that the deceased Jangamma, 30, was the wife of one Balraj who not only harassed her for more dowry but also beat her. On October 26, the duo had another bout of argument in connection with the same issue and Balraj assaulted his wife.
A dejected Jangamma, on October 27, poured kerosene on her body and set herself ablaze. Though she was admitted in the hospital but succumbed to her burn injuries last night.
Further investigations are underway.
Fatal fall from ninth floor
(Siasat News): A man, who had fallen from the ninth floor of a building in suspicious circumstances, succumbed to his injuries in Gachibowli.
Police sources said that the deceased Laxman, 20, was the resident of labour colony, Sher Lingampally and was the native of Odisha. Yesterday, he was busy in welding work on the ninth floor of the under construction building.
During the work, he lost his balance and fell down on the ground as the precautionary measures were not taken and harness was not used.
He had sustained severe injuries and was admitted in a hospital where he died during the treatment last night.
