Four of a family brutally murdered

Hyderabad, May 30: In a gruesome incident here, four members of a family were murdered by their son-in-law and his relatives early Sunday, police said.

Six assailants hacked to death four people in a house at Premnagar in Amberpet neighbourhood. Another person sustained serious injuries and is battling for life in hospital, police said.

Qamruddin, his wife Sajida Begum and two other family members Abdullah Begani and Abdullah Kirmani were killed in the attack. Qamruddin’s daughter Afreen, wife of the main accused, is in critical condition.

Police said while one person died on the spot, three others succumbed to the their injuries in hospital.

After the murders, Jehangir, son-in-law of Qamruddin, and his brother went to the police station where they surrendered. Police also arrested their four other relatives who helped them in committing the crime.

Jehangir, who separated from his wife following a marital dispute, said he committed the crime to take revenge for a dowry harassment case filed by Afreen against him.

One held for assaulting cop

Hyderabad, may 31 (Siasat News): A customer of a bar was arrested by Jubilee Hills police in connection with assaulting a sub-inspector under the influence of alcohol.

According to the details, the sub-inspector of Jubilee Hills K Nageshwar Rao who was on night duty yesterday reached to a bar and asked the owner to close it at once as it was running beyond the stipulated time.

 The cop also asked the customer to leave the bar at once. However, one of the customers, who was identified as Venkat Kutimba rao, started arguing with the cop and assaulted him. Police has arrested Kutumba Rao.

Woman’s dead body found

Hyderabad, May 31 (Siasat News): The dead body of an unidentified woman was found near the electric sub-station at Shamshabad.

According to the Shamshabad RGI sub-inspector P Anjiah, the woman was said to be a beggar and might have died due to the starvation and unbearable heat.

The dead body is shifted to the Government hospital, Shamshabad.

Burglars steal gold

Hyderabad, May 31 (Siasat News): Burglars broke into a realtor’s house at Kukatpally here on Saturday and made their escape good with 14 tolas of gold ornaments kept in an almirah. The police has registered a house burglary case.

Vehicle-lifter arrested

Hyderabad, may 31 (Siasat News): The Chaitanyapuri police on Sunday arrested a multimedia course student for vehicle-lifting.

Seven bikes were recovered from his possession of which six were at his friend’s place.
