40 kgs silver stolen
Hyderabad, June 30 (Siasat News): In a late night committed crime, 40 kgs silver stolen from General Bazar in Secunderabad. According to market police, the heist took place at the shop of Srinath Ji Jewellers.
The unidentified burglars entered the shop from the first floor of the building and decamped with 30 kgs silver and 10 kgs silver ornaments.
Not only this, they also took away Rs. 2 lacs in cash. Following a complaint by the owners of the shop, the police is busy investigating.
Man fell from running train, dies
Hyderabad, June 30 (Siasat News): According to the railway police, a 38-year-old man died when he fell from a running train.
Police sources said that the victim was identified as Sreenu of Trimulgherry who was working in a private company.
He was traveling in a train yesterday but fell down when the train was about to halt. The fall proved fatal for Sreenu. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
Moneylender arrested in Bhavani Nagar
Hyderabad, June 30 (Siasat News): Bhavani Nagar police has arrested a moneylender who was illegally running his business.
According to the details, Surjeet Singh, 51, resident of Gowliguda chaman was a video cassette dealer ten years back. Since the trade did not bear any fruit for him, he started illegal financing where he used to lend money to the people of Bhavani Nagar in the old city and was charging higher percentage of interest.
Inspector Bhavani Nagar Mr. P Subbiah said that Surjeet Singh had started a company in the name of Singh Enterprises and Finance. This is how he started lending money to poor people and used to collect interest amount on daily basis.
If any of his clients failed to pay the interest, he used to charge them double amount. When this was brought to the notice of the police, Bhavani Nagar police arrested him and seized 27 small notebooks, Rs. 3190 cash, Hero Honda Activa two-wheeler and some documents from his possession.
Police has warned the general public to inform the police if they got any information of the illegal financing business being run in the old city.
