Husband kills wife to marry sister-in-law
(Siasat News): A couple who was on loggerheads for remaining issueless and the urge to marry his sister-in-law, caused the death of the wife as the husband treated the wife as the biggest hurdle in the marriage.
This horrifying incident occurred in Narsingi police station limits. One Bheem Rao, 40, brutally killed his wife Sumalatha and fled. According to sub-inspector Narsingi Mohd. Hafeezuddin, the residents of Indira Reddy colony in Rajendranagar Bheem Rao and Sumalatha got married ten years back.
However, the couple remained childless and to compensate this void, they had adopted a girl child sometimes back. The situation took another twist when Sumalatha’s sister Sujatha had separated from her husband two years ago and had started living in the same colony where the couple resided.
When Bheem Rao realized that his sister-in-law is living nearby, he had started developing indecent intentions. This is how, he started harassing his wife saying that he didn’t like girl child as to further the family tree, a male child is necessary.
He also told her that he was interested in marrying her sister. This turned the situation more complicated. Both husband and wife had a bout of quarrels of late that ultimately led to the murder of Sumalatha. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
