 Robbery attempt fails, robber drowned

Hyderabad, September 29 (Siasat News): In a bizzare incident, a robber who failed in his attempt and later to refrain from public’s ire, he  was drowned.

This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of L B Nagar police station. Police sources said that B Anil, 21, native of Nagole, had gone to Tyagaraja colony yesterday with the sole intention of robbing a woman of her gold chain who was fast asleep.

The woman woke up while he tried to snatch her mangalsutra and raised an alarm. Anil was scared and started running as he was follwed by a number of the people of the colony.

To avoid their ire, he jumped down in a pond and drowned. Police has recovered his dead body. Further investigations are on.

Woman commits suicide after row with husband

Hyderabad, September 29 (Siasat News): A woman Narayanamma committed suicide after she had a row with her husband. This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Chaderghat police station.

She was the resident of Sarojini Nagar. Her husband Ramesh was an onion dealer and both husband and wife had heated argument on a petty issue.

Naryanamma died on the spot. Police has registered a case.

Bank Manager arrested

Hyderabad, September 29 (Siasat News): An Andhra Bank sub-manager was arrested for misappropriating bank funds to the tune of Rs. 67.71 lakh.

According to an official release issued here, A Satyanarayana, a sub-manage of Andhra Bank’s Sundernagar branch in Erragadda, cancelled three fixed deposits belonging to Indian Pharmaceutical association and AP Trust before the fixed deposits matured.

Later, he transferred the amount to his personal account.
