Moneylender arrested in Falaknuma

Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): Police has arrested a moneylender who was running his business illegally. He was identified as Md. Abdul Rahim, 59, resident of Hashamabad, Chandrayangutta.

According to police sources, he used to lend the money to the people from economically backward section who hails from Vattepally, Tegalkunta, Nawabasaabkunta and Falaknuma.

He used to charge higher rate of interest from them. When Falaknuma police received a complaint in this regard, a team of the police raided the house of Abdul Rahim and seized Rs. 6280 cash, Nokia mobiles, stamp papers and promissory bonds.

A case was registered against him and later he was produced in the court.

Man dies in Musi river

Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): A man fell down in Musi river from Puranapul in the old city and died instantly.

According to the police inspector of Shahinayatgunj police station, Mr. Guru Raghavendra, Venkatesh, 25, was standing on Puranapul along with his brother-in-law and suddenly he fell down in Musi River.

Both of them were under the influence of alcohol. They had come out from adjacent colony of pardiwada and moving towards Puranapul where they halted for some time.

Police has registered a suspicious death and further investigations are on.

Black magicians arrested in Lal Darwaza

Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): The special party of Deputy Commissioner, south zone, arrested three tantriks (black magicians) from Lal Darwaza and seized the materials used in the evil trade.

According to the details, assistant sub-inspector Md. Fasihuddin had raided the house of Suryaprakash who was a tantrik and recovered the materials.

Suryaprakash’s brother Dhanno and son Naresh are also arrested and were handed over to Chhatrinaka police.

Extortionists posing as cops, arrested

Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): Dabeerpura police has arrested two persons including a police head constable who were involved in extortion.

As per the details, one Syed Hussain, resident of Purani Haveli, along with his three associates Md. Sharfuddin who is the constable of City Armed Reserve, Anwar and Fazal, tried to pose himself as the cop from task police force and tried to extortionate money from a man who was involved in illicit liquor business identified as Mahender Singh.

He was held and asked to pay Rs. 10,000 for release and tried to get the money from Mahender Singh’s father after having discussed the matter on phone in ‘filmy style’.

However, Mahender Singh’s father was himself a cunning man. He realized some foul play and lodged a complaint with Dabeerpura police resulting in the arrest of Sharfuddin and Syed Hussain whereas Anwar and Afzal are absconding.
