Teenaged girl dies in bike mishap
Hyderabad June 29 (Siasat News): An 18-year-old girl on Monday, succumbed to her injuries she suffered in a motorcycle accident at Towlichowki on June 25.
According to police, the girl Shagufta Shahwar and her boyfriend Abdul Bari were travelling on a motorcycle when the driver of an RTC bus, taking a U-turn at Towlichowki applied sudden brakes.
Bari tried to stop the motorcycle in time but lost his balance and Shagufta fell from the two-wheeler. The two lovebirds were caught under the wheels of the bus and were crushed.
Passersby shifted them to two different corporate hospitals. Bari is undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Police registered a case under section 304A handed over Shagufta’s body to her father.
Nursing student kills self over father’s harassment
Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): A second year nursing student committed suicide, after allegedly being harassed by her own father over property.
According to police, the student has been identified as 19-year-old BSC second year student V Monika 19. She hailed from Nalgonda.
Monika allegedly took the extreme step after being harassed by her father Govind Reddy.
Govind Reddy was allegedly harassing Monika to pressurise her to sign in his name the four acre of land left by her grandfather. The land is believed to be worth around Rs 2 crore an acre.
Govind Reddy is also believed to have driven Monika’s mother Radha Kumari to commit suicide just after Monika was born.
Police found a suicide note along with Monika’s body, which pleaded that no post mortem, should be conducted on her body. She also wrote that she hated her father and appealed to the police to hand over her body to her relatives but not to her father.
The suicide note further said that she wanted to be cremated at the same land where her mother was cremated.
A case has been registered.
Man looted by fake police
Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): An incident of looting took place by a fake policeman in the jurisdiction of Afzalgunj police station.
According to the details, 25-year-old Venkateshwarulu, native of Prakasham district, reached Imliban bus stand in the wee hours. He was carrying Rs. 45,000 cash, which he wanted to give to his son who was residing at Shamshabad.
In the meantime, a man approached him and on the pretext of getting an auto for Venkat, he took him a bit away from the bus station. Just then, a motorcyclist approached both of them and claimed that he was a police man and said both of them were involved in the trade of fake currency notes and that they would have to accompany him to the police station for investigation.
He asked them to pillion ride his bike and took them to Hanuman temple near Chaderghat and asked Venkat to get down. Not only this, the motorcyclist also snatched the money and told him that whenever he would be called to the police station, he would have to report.
Then the first man and the fake policeman both fled the scene on the same motorbike.
Following the complaint of Venkateshwarulu, Afzalgunj police registered a case and started the investigations.
Rowdysheeters arrested at Santoshnagar
Hyderabad, June 29 (Siasat News): Santoshnagar police has arrested two rowdysheeters for looting a person and seized cash and a motorcycle from their possession.
According to the details, Md. Saleem, 28, resident of Santoshnagar along with his friend Sheikh Afsar, 26, resident of Pahadi Shareef, had looted one Sheikh Md. Pasha near diamond hotel at phislabanda on June 24 and relieved him of his Rs. 3700.
It is said that Md. Saleem is the rowdy sheeter of Santoshnagar and hatched a plan to rob Pasha. As soon as police got the information, it arrested both rowdy sheeters and seized Rs. 1400 cash and motorcycle from their possession.
Later they were produced in the court and shifted to the jail.
