Youth drowns in lake
(Siasat News): A 19-year-old youth drowned in a city lake while he was trying to retrieve a cricket ball from a tank in Bahadurpura.
Police said Mohd. Ghayasuddin, resident of Kishenbaug, jumped into the Miralam tank while he and his friends were playing cricket in the government park. When one batsman hit the ball, it went into the lake. Ghayasuddin, who was fielding, jumped into the lake to get it.
As he was not coming out, his friends alerted the police. The body was fished out after two hours and sent to the Osmania mortuary.
Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.
RTC bus kills engineer
(Siasat News): A 28-year-old civil engineer died after an RTC bus rammed into the bike at Telugu Talli flyover.
The victim, identified as Ram Kumar, resident of Langar Houz, was on his way to Kuukatpally, while the accident occurred.
Police said that the victim, who hailed from Kadapa, was working in a construction company. Further investigations are on.
