Gambling den raided, six arrested
(Siasat News): Cyberabad police has raided a gambling den and arrested six persons.
On a tip-off police immediately reached near Borabanda railway station that falls under Sanathnagar police station and raided a house that was used as a gambling den.
The arrested persons are K Prakash, 48, Chand Pasha, 28, Syed Mubeen, 19, Syed Tanveer, 24, Mohammed, 29 and Ghouse, 28 and recovered Rs. 4920 in cash and seized six cellphones from their possession.
Further investigations are on.
Husband ends life as wife went to parents
(Siasat News): A husband, who was very upset as his wife had gone to her parent’s house some time back, ended his life. Jawhar nagar police has recovered his dead body with scars on his neck and other parts of the body.
It is said that the deceased Dasrath, 35, was a welder by profession and residing at Jawahar Nagar. He got married with Shwetha few years ago.
However, the husband-wife was always at the loggerheads and used to fight a lot. A panchayat was also called in this connection to sort out the matter where Shwetha was beaten by her husband.
Dejected over the incident, she had left to her parent’s house to live with them. Dasrath was very upset ever since and took the extreme step of ending his life.
However, police has apprehensions in terming the death of Dasrath as suicide. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
Hookah centre raided, four arrested
(Siasat News): City police raided an illegally run Hookah centre at Banjara Hills and arrested four persons including two persons from Mumbai Bhanwarlal and sheikh Zayed and the owner of Hookah centre Moin and Mateen.
Police has also seized 60 grams heroin from their possession which was smuggled from Mumbai.
Police has intesified its vigilance against the smugglers who are bringing narcotics in the city ahead of New Year celebrations as it is reported that Drug Mafia has enhanced its activities in the city.
Minor falls in water sump, dies
(Siasat News): In a tragic incident a baby girl fell into a water sump and died. This incident occurred in Saifabad.
Police sources said that the deceased Anu Priya was just 10-month-old and was the daughter of one Anil Kumar of Chintal Basthi.
She was playing near her house when she accidentally fell into the water sump as it was irresponsibly kept open. It seems that after the use, the family members might have forgotten to cover it.
Saifabad police has registered a case and further investigations are in progress.
