Fake currency: Two arrested
Hyderabad, July 27 (Siasat News): The Medak police on Tuesday arrested two persons involved in printing and circulation of fake currency and seized Rs. 9.05 lakh counterfeit notes from their possession.
According to the Medak superintendent of police, Mr. John Victor, the fake currency racket was busted at Huntur of Narsapur in Medak district.
“They were operating like a cottage unit. We have arrested two of the four-member gang,” Mr. Victor said.
Techie arrested for piracy
Hyderabad, July 27 (Siasat News): The north zone task force police arrested a hardware engineer for illegal sale and installation of pirated software.
The arrested was identified as B Srikant, a resident of old Alwal and hardware engineer.
A police team raided One Stop IT Solutions at Parklane in Secunderabad and seized 209 pirated software of operating systems, security, multimedia, educational and e-learning.
Woman ends life in Amberpet
Hyderabad, July 27 (Siasat News): A 23-year-old woman Bhargavi alias Bhanu committed suicide in a suspicious manner at her house situated in Maruthi Nagar, Amberpet.
On the other hand the parents of the deceased alleged that her husband had strangulated her to death and trying to pose the case as a suicide. Bhargavi was married to one Ravinder two years back.
Just two months after the marriage, she was subjected to constant harassment by her husband and in-laws for more dowry. When she could not bear the harassment, she took the extreme step.
Police Amberpet has registered a case further investigations are on.
